1946 F. Klaus Maschinen- und Apparatebau GmbH founded by Franz Klaus at the company's current place at Blumenfeldstrasse 18 in Bochum, Germany.
1956 Geko fluid control GmbH founded in Dortmund, Germany;Construction of the first control valve in Europe.
1962 Both firms pooled on the terrain of "GEKO Maschinen- und Apparatebau GmbH" in Bochum-Weitmar, Germany.
1973 Both firms merged under the new company name "Geko Union GmbH & Co. KG"
1981 Sealex trademark registered for Geko Union products.

2005 In 2005, GEKO entered the Chinese market with its firstlicensing partner.
2008 In 2008, GEKO opened Changzhou Geko Automation Equipment Co.,Ltd., a local sales office in China.This was a key step to increasing its commitment there. The new production andinnovation center at the company¡¯s site in Bochum-Weitmar created more space forproduction and management, enabling customer orders to be processed efficientlyand new, innovative ideas to be put into practice.
2016 In 2016 Taiwan Geko valve co.ltd was established after Geko become a shareholder of GV valve co.ltd., which develop cryogenic valve and High Purity Clean Ball Valve and provide a better service on optoelectronic industry, medical Biotechlogy,semiconductor,electronic chemical manufacturing.
2022 With the rapid growth of the industrial control valve in the Chinese market, Geko Valves & Controls decide to start the projectto build New plant in Changzhou. In order to improvethe ability to supply industrial valve for major market, we continue toincrease the investment on new R & D center and production plant chemical manufacturing.
